The Gun Rabbi

So... a man named "Mansor Mohammad Asad" is taken off a Miami flight. He says he is a Palestinian who wants to kill all the Jews. He gets violent with police. He makes threats. He mumbles; listeners think it is Arabic. But don't worry; this "disturbance" is just "a local police matter." He certainly wasn't a threat to anyone on the plane; the only real issue was the threat against the police. Besides, his son says that his father was bipolar as a child. He's just mentally unstable... unlike all those suicide murderers whom we all know are well-balanced, healthy individuals.

We have nothing to worry about, right? The Department of Homeland Stupidity is taking care of us. Yup.

Charles Krauthammer of the Philadelphia Inquirer gets it: America is at war. The problem? President Obama isn't. Krauthammer urges the President to admit the country's at war.

Bret Stephens writes in the Wall Street Journal about how our own civilization -- specifically, our politically correct unwillingness to admit that suicide bombers are Muslim -- prevents us from properly focusing our airport security on stopping them. It's a great article... maybe someone in TSA will read it?

Stephens brings other examples as well, and concludes that we have what he calls "Our Incompetent Civilization."
